A SPECIAL NOTE TO STUDENTS LIVING ON THE SOUTH 40 AND NORTH CAMPUS ONLY:

Dear New and Returning Students Living on WU Campus (South 40 or North Campus Only)

During these unprecedented times, we have all had to navigate our way through rapidly-evolving circumstances. Mail and Receiving Services (MaRs) here at Washington University is no different. We will be changing some operations in our student mail operations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The changes we will be implementing could change at any time depending on health and safety regulations. The health and safety of the faculty, staff, and student on campus is a top priority. For the most up to date information, check out our Facebook page, WashUMaRs, visit our website at mailservices.wustl.edu, or send us an email at mail@wustl.edu.

After arriving on campus, you will be required to pick up mail and packages from the Mail Services. We have parcel lockers at each of the mail centers, so you will get a notice if a package is in the locker or if you need to collect from our window service. Packages placed in the parcel lockers can be collected any time 24/7 without an appointment after you receive a notice from WU MaRs. The building will be accessible after business hours by card access. Not all packages will placed into a parcel locker due to the high volume or size of packages. Some packages will be held behind the counter at each location.

Letter mail, magazines, newspapers, and any First Class mail, will be placed in a folder behind the counter and you will receive a notice that “You Have Mail”. When possible, mail may be placed in a locker if you get a lot of mail.

Students will be required to schedule an appointment to pick up any packages and letter mail from the counter. Students will also be required to schedule an appointment to send letter mail or packages from the mail center. You will receive a link to our scheduling site in the package email notification you receive from the university.

Please be sure to look up your MSC Code, Mail Stop Code under housing assignment. The MSC code is an “entry ID” not your Student ID number. Look for the ENTRY ID and include that on the same lines as your name or next line as follows (But never on the same line as the address). The MSC is NOT a PO box, it is a campus identifier only.
